The Virtual Young Teen Asthma & Wellness Camp began in 2020, offering asthma self-management education and wellness activities. Programs are grant funded, offered virtually, and have no cost to participants. Fill out our interest/registration form found on link below under “All our Camps.” to be a part of our FREE summer camp or seasonal camps. Asthma Blues Mini-Camps are available the Second Saturday eachmonth, virtually. Register by First Saturday at button below.

Our School-Based Camps are growing in popularity! School-based teams provide the camp program with training and support from our core faculty in nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social work, and medicine. School-based programs are developed with the school’s need and team members’ involvement. Grant funding provides stipends for team members and materials for campers.

Young Teen Asthma & Wellness Camp – General Camper Interest Form

The YTA&WC helps teens ages 11-15 learn how to better manage their asthma and incorporate healthy habits into their daily lives. Our program makes asthma education fun through the use of games, music from Asthma Blues®, cooking, crafts, technology, and more. Thanks to our generous supporters, campers participate at no cost to their families.

Young Teen Asthma & Wellness Camp

Leader-in-Training (LIT) Interest Form

The YTAWC encouraged teens ages 16-19 (with or without asthma) to serve as small group leaders or “camp counselors.” To do that the youth would participate in out Youngteenasthma.org Leader-in-Training (LIT) program. Training is a one-day long (virtual) training which includes review of asthma basics, leadership role, and tech-back opportunities to demonstrate leadership and coaching techniques for young teens (11-15). Following completion of the LIT Training, youth are eligible to serve as a camp leader. If available (grant-funded), leaders receive a stipend for LIT training and service as a leader.

HEAL-AL Family Participation Interest Form

HEAL-AL is a program covering several rural Alabama Counties providing Community Health Worker education, home environmental assessment, action steps, and some remediation. Funding is provided by the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA). We are recruiting families in rural Alabama Counties. Contact us for more information and complete the interest survey.

Asthma Blues Mini-Camp Registration Form:

Asthma Blues Mini-Camp is held each second Saturday 10-11:30 Central Time (CT) virtually. Online registrants will get the music download and zoom link by email. Asthma Blues Mini-Camp, Second Saturday of the Month.
